I offer an integrative, culturally sensitive approach to therapy, healing, and consulting/speaking that prioritizes client-centered, trauma-informed care.
With a deep understanding of how past experiences shape both the mind and body, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore, heal, and cultivate long-term well-being.
Therapeutic approaches I integrate:
I also incorporate techniques from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which focuses on how trauma manifests physically. This approach helps clients process and release unresolved trauma through movement and increased body awareness. Embodied Polyvagal and Somatic Practices also play a crucial role in regulating the nervous system, reducing stress, and fostering resilience. These practices are especially effective in alleviating the impact of complex trauma on memory and identity, helping to heal fragmented experiences and restore a grounded sense of Self.
At the core of my work is the belief that every client is the expert of their own journey. Together, we co-create a personalized plan tailored to your strengths, lived experiences, and aspirations. Compassion, curiosity, choice, and consent guide our therapeutic relationship, ensuring that healing is collaborative, respectful, and rooted in mutual understanding.
My goal is to help you alleviate suffering, build resilience, and create sustainable change aligned with your vision for the future. By focusing on Self-awareness, co-regulation, and empowerment, I am dedicated to supporting you in achieving lasting transformation and meaningful growth.

"When engaging in therapy with a stranger, establishing rapport and trust is the hardest part for me. Feeling safe anywhere is challenging, let alone in a setting of talking about my mental health with a complete stranger. However, Julia didn't feel like a stranger beyond the first meeting. Her organized thoughts, mindful approach, and empathetic nature made me comfortable right away and balanced with her direct nature; I never worry about what she is thinking. She has a unique ability to create a therapeutic environment in which safety and acceptance are a given, but not at the expense of actual healing and help.
As someone with deep, complex trauma issues, I am grateful to have found in Julia a space in which healing is taking place for me faster and more effectively than I would have ever hoped for or expected."
"Julia, as my therapist, has been a key component of my recovery journey, as her expertise and guidance have allowed me to discover hidden sources of my addictive habits.
She goes beyond traditional therapy, involving active listening, meditation, coaching, and personalized parts work sessions, addressing all facets of my life, including addiction, family, my marriage, relationships, and work. Her approach has led to personal growth.
Julia's dedication and comprehensive support have truly made a difference in my recovery journey."
“Julia is a heat-seeking missile, for sure. She quickly identifies the source of the pain and offers support and tools for working with a myriad of complex issues.
I am thankful every day that I am this fortunate in life to have such an outstanding human being to guide and mentor me in my recovery from addiction and trauma.
I feel the safest I have felt for a really long time in Julia’s hands, which offers me tremendous hope for my bright future!”
" 'There is a light in this world, a healing spirit that is more powerful than any darkness we may encounter. We sometimes lose sight of this force when there is suffering, too much pain. Then suddenly, the spirit will emerge through the lives of ordinary people who hear a call and answer in extraordinary ways.'
These are Mother Teresa's words, which I would like to use to express my soul-deep gratitude for the extraordinary healing journey I have been on with Julia.
Thank you for your compassion and understanding, which have created a desirable healing transformation.

I am deeply committed to understanding and addressing the diverse experiences and identities that shape our work together. This includes issues related to age, arrest background, class, color, conviction record, culture, disability, ethnicity, family configurations, gender identity and expression, housing status, im/migration status, language, marital status, medical conditions, military service, national origin, personal lived experiences, political beliefs, race, relationship status, religious beliefs, sex, sexual orientation, size, socioeconomic status, substance use, past trauma, and veteran status.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values in my practice as a certified clinical trauma professional, integrative somatic trauma, therapist, and professional educational consultant/speaker. I am passionate about creating a more equitable and just world, and I recognize the need for a collective and radical shift in how cultural, economic, educational, gender, political, and societal systems of privilege, oppression, and displacement are addressed.
Together, we can work toward
democratizing and decolonizing counseling and healing,
creating a more inclusive, empowering space for all.
Colorado Springs is situated on the traditional homeland and unceded territory of many Native American and Indigenous Nations, including the Apache, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, and the Kapuuta and Mouache bands of the Nuuchiu Nation.
I honor the ancestors, animal medicine, land, people, traditions, and wisdom of these Native communities. I also acknowledge the teachings and guidance of my childhood ally and lifelong imaginal mentor, Mr. Concha, a Navajo elder who served as my school bus driver for many years. His stories about his ancestors, family, land, and traditions, along with his teachings on interconnection, have deeply shaped both my personal and professional life. Through his wisdom, I learned to see the world through a lens of unity and shared knowledge, a perspective that continues to guide my work and worldview today.
